About

A boutique firm with a global bench.

Meridian was founded in 2016 by three partners who had spent their careers inside the international tax groups at Big Four firms. They left for the same reason most boutique founders leave: the best work was always routed to the biggest accounts, and the clients who needed the most hand-holding got the least.

We built Meridian as the answer to that. The partners take the calls. The work product ships with a plain-English memo explaining every judgment call. And the fee is fixed before the engagement begins.

Nine years in, we serve 420+ multinational clients across 38 countries. We remain intentionally small — 22 professionals — because the quality of a cross-border practice depends on the partner who has actually done the work picking up the phone.

Our commitments

Every engagement operates under these four commitments. They are not aspirations. They are conditions.

Fixed fees, quoted in writing

No hourly billing. Every scope gets a fixed fee quoted before work starts. Scope changes are priced separately and approved in writing.

Direct partner access

Every client has a dedicated partner whose direct line they have. No associates acting as gatekeepers.

One-business-day response

Every substantive client inquiry receives a substantive response within one business day. This is tracked internally and reviewed monthly.

Plain-English memos

Every return and every structuring recommendation ships with a plain-English memo explaining the judgment calls. If we took a treaty position, you will know why.
